Saint Carlo Acutis: Marking His Feast Day on 12 October

On 12 October the Church remembers Saint Carlo Acutis. He died on that date in 2006, aged just fifteen, and today he is honoured as a saint, the first millennial to be canonised.

Who was Carlo?

Carlo was born in London in 1991 and grew up in Milan. He loved computers, football and video games, and he went to Mass every day. He used his skills to build a website documenting the Eucharistic miracles of the world, and his motto was simple: not I, but God.

Ways to mark the day

  • Go to Mass if you can, and pray for young people everywhere.
  • Pray his novena, either alone or with children or grandchildren.
  • Light a candle at home and tell his story to a young person.
  • Learn about relic visits and school workshops at carloacutisireland.org.

You can read more about his life in our post Carlo Acutis: Meet the Church’s First Millennial Saint.

For the day itself you might like the Carlo Acutis LED Candle, a Carlo Acutis Keyring or Carlo Acutis Medal, or the Carlo Acutis Official Prayer Card & Bookmark. Every item in Carlo’s Shop comes from Carlo Acutis Ireland, and every order helps their mission.
